I saw an announcement about this today, and decided to do a quick investigation of what data they had already collected about Des Moines. I was also interested in what this tool could possibly do to benefit local businesses or businesses wanting to locate in Des Moines. ZoomProspector, a new web-based tool, is basically a free Real Estate locating service for businesses. It has just emerged from private beta and opened its doors to the public. Now any business can use the service to find the optimum location to move or start their venture. Also, any city, council or state can enter the geographic and economic data related to their area in order to entice potential new businesses into moving to their region.

With the current economic conditions it is more important than ever that potential new small businesses or businesses looking to expand can find the right location quickly and without a lot of costs. Instead of spending days of research going to multiple government offices, real estate companies, and data sources local businesses can get all of that information on ZoomProspector in minutes, and it’s free of charge.
